The date of IPL 8 auctions had not been finalized yet. The auctions may take place before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 or after date. The IPL 8 T20 Cricket Tournament 2015 will start in the month of April, though the exact date had not been finalized yet. There will be 50+ matches between 8 teams. The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, which was to be played at 8:00 pm on 14 April 2015, has been shifted to 8:00 pm on 30 April 2015.

The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, which was to be played at 8:00 pm on 28 April 2015, has been shifted to 8:00 pm on 7 May 2015.

The match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, which was to be played at 8:00 pm on 30 April 2015, has been shifted to 8:00 pm on 28 April 2015.
