IPL 2015 : Delhi DareDevils purchased Yuvraj Sing for 16 crore
Earlier there were lots of speculations about Yuvraj Singh’s inclusion in the Indian Cricket team for the ongoing cricket world cup tournament but eventually selectors’ response was in the negative side. However, the IPL 2015 auction has brought some smiles on the face of Yuvraj Singh and gave his fans a reason to celebrate as well. The brilliant batsman will be representing Delhi Darevils in IPL 8 to be held this year immediately after the cricket world cup.
Surprisingly Proteas’ opener Hashim Amla, considered to be a finest batsman in contemporary times remain unsold at the premiere IPL auction held earlier today. Sri Lankan right handed all-rounder Angelo Mathews was grabbed by the Delhi Daredevils for a whopping Rs 7.50 crore. Mathews is also a current ODI skipper of the Lankan team. Also India’s stylish batsman Murali Vijay was purchased by Kings XI Punjab at a price of Rs. 3 crore. The bidding is still underway. But few cricketers could emerge as surprising elements this time.
Meanwhile it is necessary to add Yuvraj Singh has been a regular player at the IPL tournaments since 2008. He has been already played from the IPL franchisee such as Sahara Pune Warriors and Kings XI Punjab in the past.
