What is the IPL?

IPL 2022 Rules
This year’s IPL will have a format like that of 2011’s IPL, where there are ten teams instead of the usual eight. There are also a few additional rules that have been introduced in this year’s tournament. Below are some of them.
- The tournament will be played by ten teams that will be divided into groups of five.
- In the group stage, each team will play 14 games, battling the other four teams in their group twice. That is one home and one away game.

- Next will be qualifier 2 which will be between the losing team of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator stage.
- Lastly, the finals will be between the winners of Qualifiers 1 and 2.
